Returning to Falmouth Harbor from Martha's Vineyard, we passed this breathtaking schooner headed in the direction of Nantucket. To me, there are few sights as elegant. The flag on the stern appears to be Bermudian.
Just before reaching the harbor (where I worked as a kid), we passed Falmouth Heights (where I hung out as a kid). Sadly, the Casino-by-the-Sea, a rock club, is long gone, replaced by condominiums and an up-scale restaurant; and the Navigator Lounge, once my favorite warm-up watering hole, has been ousted by a soulless British Beer Company.
