Hasta La Vista, Baby
The temperature outside is eight degrees, and the wind chill has it feeling like minus ten. I am humming Stephen Bishop's calypso song "On and On" as I roll up a pair of Jantzen tropical print baggies and stuff them into the suitcase.
Saturday morning we leave for Mexico, where you need a reason to move. I hope that Cancun has recovered from the direct hit by Hurricane Wilma in October, 2005, an event brilliantly chronicled by Mary in her blog. Actually, she was back there recently, and reports that the tequila and cerveza are just fine.
I'm sure Kathleen would like to do an adios entry as well, but hell, she's busy--she still works. Somebody has to pay for all this.

Looks wonderful to me from the Great White, (and getting whiter as I type this!) North!
Have a good one..have an umbrella drink for me!
EVERYONE is going to Cancun....what's with that???
My son just got back on Saturday from a week of heavy partying. He had a blast, totalling enjoyed himself.
Well, enjoy yourself, don't get too drunk.
Remember us northeastern people while you bath in the sun....(I am soooo jealous!)

I cannot even begin to respond to this. I feel quite ill.
This first phase of Paul's retirement has him luxurating in life long fantasies:
A kept man.
Sleeping till 10.
That little French maid outfit.
Oh, I've said too much!
Not to worry. The honey do list starts soon. Let him have some fun!
Oh, do I envy you ! It looks like paradise. Please have one of those fruity drinks with the umbrellas in it for me.
You'd better drink an extra margarita or four for me.
Have fun! Do not forget the suntan lotion. Take lots of pics and share them with us when you get back.
I am incredibly jealous. My in-laws are going to Mexico tomorrow for a week as well. Puerto Vallarta as I recall. Bring back some sand!
I could dive into that photo! Have a wonderful time and if you send post cards remember to include USA. I did not and as always, sent postcards to every one and everyone did not receive them.
I've been told I'm the only person in Texas who hasn't been to Mexico. I must say, it looks gorgeous! Have a margarita for me!

I hope that you have been having a great time!

I don't understand ~ why does Paul want to wear a French maid's outfit?
I'm sorry I missed being here to wish you both a hearty bon voyage, or however they say it in Spanish. The only the Spanish I know I learned while I was down there, and it went something like...
Mas vino blanco por favore, Raphael! Gracias.
Have fun! And don't forget to tell Raphael hola for me. He'll know.
I see that you're back.
I'm bracing myself for the painful onslaught of Cancun stories and photos.
Seriously, I hope you guys had a great time.
And I see that you figured out my secret -- I really am an OC Housewife.
We know you're back. Give us the dirt...I mean sand!
